Would you like to develop your mind and body while learning something very Japanese? If so, please try to come visit us at our judo dojo.

Daiwa Juku Judo Dojo is actively recruiting for elementary school or junior high school students who would like to try judo, a Japanese martial art which helps develop the body, mind and spirit.

Daiwa Juku Judo Dojo focuses on helping youngsters build mental and physical self-confidence through judo. All students start with a white belt. Monthly competitions take place which determine if and when the student can advance to the color belts, orange, green, purple, and brown, the last being black. Judo lessons involve: exercising, learning throwing and grappling techniques, practicing with partners, and competitions.

Beginners are always welcome to come observe. Consultation can be done in Japanese or English.

Age requirements: between 5 and 15 years old
Judo class schedule: Wednesday 6:30~8:00PM (junior high school students finish at 8:30pm)
Friday 6:30-8:00 PM (junior high school students finish at 8:30pm)
Tuition: 3,150 yen for once a week
4,200 yen for twice a week
Insurance: 1,050 yen a year

Judo Master: Sohei Uchida, 6th dan in Judo with judo teaching experience in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Athens (Greece), Copenhagen (Denmark) and New York (USA).
